Job summary

Whole Foods Market in California is seeking a reliable team member to assist in ordering, replenishment, and merchandising of grocery products. The role focuses on accurate inventory management, back stock control, and supporting promotions and health standards.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of retail experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes Order Writer training and replenishes products according to WFM procedures.
• Orders perishable and non-perishable products and maintains back stock levels.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits and acts promptly.
• Controls spoilage, conducts inventory and cycle counts.
• Performs spoilage and other inventory management tasks (sampling, temperature, sweep worksheets).
• Ensures timely, accurate product orders to optimize inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedures and product transfers.
• Supports leadership during inventories and strives to meet purchasing and sales targets.
• Provides courteous customer service and adheres to Weights & Measures and health regulations.
