Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Vienna, VA is seeking a motivated Team Member to assist with ordering, replenishment, and merchandising of grocery products while supporting promotions and in-store programs.

You will monitor inventory, handle back stock, ensure accurate pricing, and deliver friendly customer service. The role requires a reliable team player who can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience of 12+ months.
• Knowledge of grocery merchandising expectations.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes Order Writer training.
• Replenishes products through proper buying procedures.
• Orders perishable and/or non-perishable grocery products and maintains back stock levels.
• Monitors and acts on open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage/shrink; participates in inventory and cycle counting.
• Completes spoilage and inventory management documentation as required.
• Ensures orders are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedures.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
• Provides courteous, friendly customer service and suggests upsell opportunities.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and follows SOPs.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
