Responsibilities

Manage the grocery operation of a retail unit: dry grocery, dairy, frozen food and DSD.
Oversee Grocery/General Merchandise departments within store volumes.
Control budgeting and financial aspects of the Grocery department.
Coordinate the merchandising of all Grocery/General Merchandise products.
Ensure that the Grocery Department is well stocked and presented per standards.
Train and develop all associates within the Grocery department.
Ensure sanitation and safety policies are followed within Grocery/General Merchandise.
Work with other department managers to meet delivery schedules.
Oversee the backroom area including warehouse and vendor merchandise.
In the absence of Store Manager/Co-Manager, supervise the total store operation.
