Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking an experienced Grocery Department Manager to lead a fast-paced team and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will direct all department functions, ensure safe, clean environments, and support daily grocery operations in alignment with Customer 1st strategy. The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and management experience, with preferred grocery retail experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Any management experience required.
• 1 year grocery retail experience preferred.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks, theft and accidents to management.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions for the department.
• Support day-to-day grocery operations.
• Train and develop associates; participate in performance reviews.
• Plan and implement promotional plans and pricing.
