Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Naperville, IL, is seeking a proactive Store Department Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will schedule, hire, mentor staff, control budgets, and ensure safe, friendly service while upholding our real food, real values promise.

Responsibilities include achieving sales and margin goals, pricing accuracy, stock integrity, and staff training. Serv Safe Certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience; 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus; Serv Safe Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Support succession planning and provide career paths and development for departments.
• Manage disciplinary actions and promotions decisions as needed.
• Attain and monitor department sales, labor and margin goals.
• Review store performance, pricing, stock, and customer feedback.
• Lead, train, and mentor department team; ensure safety and standards.
