Job summary

Kj’s Market in the United States is seeking a Store Manager to drive daily operations, budgeted results and a high level of guest service. You will lead the grocery department, manage center store balance, and support the Store Manager in achieving overall store goals.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years of supermarket management experience and excel at teamwork, training staff, and maintaining safety and compliance throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years supermarket management experience.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Manage FPI, DAX and center store balance on hand (BOH) and achieve budgeted results.
• Oversee total store operation in Store Manager's absence.
• Protect assets, merchandise, cash, facilities and equipment.
• Ensure shrink functions are performed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company standards and policies.
• Schedule grocery department labor effectively.
• May perform staffing duties, including interview and orientation.
• Develop staff through training and create a talent development plan for promotable individuals.
• Execute weekly pricing audits, pull lists, ad checks and monthly ALI self-audits.
• Create an environment that is enthusiastic, guest focused, and embedded in a selling culture.
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and hosts.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Store Manager.
