Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a Grocery Manager to oversee all facets of the store’s grocery operations, including dry goods, dairy, frozen foods, and DSD. You will manage budgeting, merchandising programs, inventory control, and staff performance while ensuring top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining standards, coordinating with department managers, and safeguarding store profitability in line with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grocery operations of the store including dry grocery, dairy, frozen food and DSD.
• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Ensure proper handling and merchandising of all grocery products per company policy.
• Maintain knowledge of all grocery products to assist customers effectively.
• Manage budgeting and financial aspects of the Grocery department (sales, gross margin, shrink, payroll).
• Coordinate merchandising of all Grocery/GM products and ensure shelf presentation meets standards.
• Oversee backroom operations including warehouse and vendor merchandise.
