Job summary

Northeast Grocery in Burlington, VT is seeking a Grocery Associate to provide friendly, efficient service and keep shelves stocked and organized. You will help the Grocery Manager with merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, and displays while maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with 5S standards.

This role also involves unloading merchandise, assisting with ordering, training new associates, and upholding sanitation and safety procedures to meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use store systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Maintain a neat, clean workstation per 5S standards.
• Assist Grocery Manager with merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, plan-o-grams, displays, rotation and inventory levels.
• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks.
• Assist with training and development of new associates in grocery operations.
• Ensure sanitation and pricing procedures are followed in grocery operations.
• Support front-end services as needed.
• Contribute to shrink control through policy adherence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
