Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Grocery Manager - Assistant to support guest relations and uphold Ultimate Service standards. This role shares responsibility for store operations in the grocery, dairy, and frozen departments to ensure safe, legal, and profitable performance.

The incumbent will help with stock management, merchandising, and coordinating displays, while supporting staff development and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Average 40 hours per week with opening, closing, and day shifts as needed.
• Minimum of one year store experience.
• Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
• Ability to work as a team member and accept supervisory coaching.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage every guest in the area or department.
• Assist with maintaining proper stock levels in grocery, dairy, and frozen departments.
• Assist with interviewing, training, scheduling, and evaluating department team members.
• Assist with timely performance evaluations within the department.
• Ensure rotation procedures are followed across departments.
• Assist with managing dairy, frozen, and grocery merchandising.
