Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, additions, subtractions).
• Effective communication skills.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Second language skills (spoken/written) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an welcoming environment and assist customers with questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to inquiries with suggestions.
• Recommend groceries and inform customers of specials.
• Check product freshness and review dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh items.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain positive attitude and stay updated on ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper temperatures and logs.
• Follow safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and incidents.
• Report safety risks and potential theft or fraud.
