Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions about products.
• Maintain knowledge of products in the department and make recommendations.
• Check product quality, freshness, and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide fresh products to customers.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Adhere to safety and food safety regulations; maintain proper temperature logs and conditions.
• Report safety risks, accidents, and any illegal activity; ensure safety procedures are followed.
