Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Grocery Manager in Minnesota to lead the Grocery Department with focus on staff, sales, margin, and labor. You may oversee Total Store in absence of the Store Director, while assisting customers with a friendly, energetic demeanor and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring product availability, pricing accuracy, and safety standards. Strong leadership and industry knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in retail or grocery.
• Preferred 3–5 years in grocery retail, especially department processes.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare weekly sales and labor projections for the Grocery Department.
• Monitor costs, inventory, and ad displays to maximize profit.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and review department staff performance.
• Oversee shift operations and department workflows.
• Ensure weekly flyer ads are stocked and products are available.
• Stock, face, price, and ensure product tagging accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in aisles and storage areas.
• Assist customers and upsell products, providing information.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Balance the general ledger and department financial statements.
• Manage pre-inventory preparations and back stocking.
• Maintain inventory control to avoid stockouts or overstock.
