Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Savage, MN seeks a Grocery Manager to lead the Grocery Department, drive sales, margins, and labor efficiency with a focus on organic and natural foods.

The role entails staff oversight, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and ensuring compliance with product freshness, pricing, and health guidelines. In the absence of the Store Director, Total Store responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in grocery/retail.
• Preferred 3–5 years grocery department management.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly sales and labor projections for the Grocery Department.
• Monitors costs, inventory, and pricing accuracy; controls shrink and displays.
• Manages department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and performance reviews.
• Oversees shift operations including department work schedules.
• Ensures weekly flyer ads are in stock and pricing is accurate.
