Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Help customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Acquire knowledge of products in the department to answer questions and offer suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Ensure fresh products and fulfill customer orders in the department.
• Recommend groceries to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action when needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions for the department.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
