Responsibilities include helping customers, maintaining product knowledge, suggesting items, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions and suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of daily specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products they have ordered.
• Suggest items to ensure customers get what they need.
• Check product quality and monitor freshness/dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and professional conduct.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks or incidents to management.
• Identify and communicate any repair needs or unsafe conditions.
• Communicate transparently about incidents or theft if encountered.
• Handle customer and business information with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
