Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a friendly cashier/front-end associate to support a fast-paced store in the local community. You will handle checkout operations, stock and rotate products, and ensure a clean, welcoming shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities include accurate scanning and payment handling, safe operation of equipment, and delivering excellent customer service with every interaction. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training typically provided.
• Minimum age 18 required.
• 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Fuel Operator C certification required.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh, key, and scan items to ensure correct checkout totals.
• Maintain correct money count in register.
• Rotate and stock products per policy and price accuracy.
• Unload trucks and place deliveries in designated areas.
• Follow tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with locating products.
• Notify management of efficiency improvements and process gaps.
• Maintain fuel station by inspecting pumps per standards.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and sanitary per procedures.
