Job summary

Boise Consumer Cooperative in Meridian is seeking a part-time Front End Clerk to join our Village Store. You will handle weekends and evenings, ensuring friendly service and accurate transactions at the register.

You'll engage customers, process SKUs, support self-checkout, and help keep the store clean and organized while upholding our values and participating in community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail cashier or customer service experience preferred, especially in a grocery environment.
• Background check required.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and efficient checkout by entering correct SKU, quantity, and weight information into the POS system.
• Engage customers warmly and offer membership information during transactions.
• Ask customers to Round Up for the monthly sponsored non-profit, reflecting our core values.
• Follow all cash handling and check receiving procedures to maintain till accuracy.
• Uphold state regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages.
• Support customers at self-checkout stations and assist with questions.
• Balance customer service with tasks such as stocking and light cleaning to keep the department running smoothly.
