Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market in Minnesota is seeking a friendly Cashier to efficiently process customer transactions at the front registers and help maintain a smooth checkout flow.

The role requires a HS diploma, basic math, and excellent communication. You will handle payments, issue receipts and refunds, greet customers, and keep the checkout area clean and welcoming. Flexible hours and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail front end experience is a plus.
• Experience with natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Walk the store prior to shift to note promos and sales items.
• Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or debits.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks, or change due to customers.
• Operate cash register and scan items, enter PLU/UPC, display totals.
• Greet customers and respond to needs in a timely manner.
• Maintain clean, orderly checkout areas and remove personal items.
• Issue coupons and rain checks; perform other duties as assigned.
