Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking entry-level Team Members to support the Grocery team, stocking shelves, stocking, displaying products, and providing friendly service to customers. The role emphasizes maintaining clean displays, rotating stock, and upholding health and safety standards while delivering positive customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, assisting with sampling, inventory checks, and upholding WFM standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and stocked, front-facing, with proper pricing.
• Stocks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy case.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps areas clean and appealing.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time and participates in trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper merchandising and rotation.
• Follows health, safety, and Weights and Measures procedures.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work/shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
