Job summary

King Soopers is hiring to lead the Grocery department with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and a safe, clean store environment in Commerce City, Colorado. You will direct daily department operations, supervise staff, and support budgeting and inventory planning.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and management experience, with preference for grocery retail exposure and adherence to food safety guidelines. Team leadership and strong communication will drive success.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and any management experience.
• 1 year grocery retail experience preferred.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperature logs.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Direct and supervise all department functions and activities.
• Support day-to-day Grocery operations.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags/promotional signs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and note discrepancies.
• Assist store management with budget, P/L reviews and financial reports.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
