Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a highly experienced Retail Supervisor to assist the Grocery Manager in directing daily department operations in Horizon City, TX. You will supervise and train staff, handle ordering, pricing, stocking, and merchandising, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

You may back up cashiers, engage in suggestive selling, and oversee cash handling and loss prevention.

• Requires extensive retail background with management experience.
• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Champions customer service programs and resolves complaints.
• Oversees ordering, receiving, pricing, stocking and merchandising.
• May stand in for Back-up cashier and uses suggestive selling.
• Manages cash handling, tapes, and money pickup.
• Prepares to-do lists for night stockers and controls shrink.
• Opens and closes the store and enforces safety policies.
• Implements emergency procedures for equipment or software issues.
• Directs store operations in absence of Store Director and Grocery Manager.
• May substitute for Receiving Clerk when needed.
• Ensures accurate performance of duties with honesty and integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
