Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market in Savage, MN is seeking a Grocery Manager to oversee all aspects of the Grocery Department, including staff, sales, margins, and labor. You may be asked to manage Total Store operations in the Store Director's absence and must maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor while assisting customers.

The role requires coordinating staff, scheduling, pricing, and inventory control, while ensuring compliance with Health Department guidelines and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years professional experience.
• 3–5 years grocery retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly sales and labor projections for the Grocery Department to maximize sales and profits.
• Monitor costs, inventory, shrink, and ensure accurate tagging and pricing.
• Lead department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Ensure department cleanliness and safety, and assist customers as needed.
• Support cross-selling and product recommendations to shoppers.
