Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a trusted leader to drive operational excellence in the Center Store department. You will coach, develop, and inspire team members, ensuring top customer service and store conditions while supporting financial goals.

Responsibilities include evaluating store conditions, supervising staff, managing inventory, and coordinating marketing programs. You will train teammates, promote merchandising excellence, and communicate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail or grocery.
• Knowledge of Center Store policies, procedures and best practices.
• Google Suite and devices; CAO Receiver certification possible if hired.
• Familiar with Schnucks apps: Shelfman, DOMO, WORX scheduling, etc.
• Plan and execute merchandising excellence.
• Demonstrate resilience and adaptability to change.
• Effective cascade of information and communication.
• Coach, develop and inspire teammates; maintain integrity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and maintain store conditions, including merchandising, in stock/ordering, freshness, cleanliness, and TIL initiatives.
• Schedule and supervise department staff.
• Manage inventory levels and optimize productive inventory.
• Facilitate training and skill development of Center Store teammates.
• Coordinate marketing, sales, and advertising programs including price changes and signage.
• Identify areas of opportunity to achieve the department's financial plan.
