Safeway is seeking a Grocery Department team member to assist in supervising and training staff, manage ordering/receiving/stocking, and merchandise. You’ll contribute to store operations, especially in the absence of senior leadership, ensuring accurate pricing, rotation and customer service excellence.

The role emphasizes adherence to company policies, safety standards and effective handling of customer relations, with opportunities to lead and develop staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

Formación

• Strong written and oral communication skills with leadership ability.
• Ability to manage and develop people and work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics, weights and measures.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Grocery Manager and Third Person in planning, organizing and directing day-to-day operations of the Grocery Department.
• Order, receive, store, price, rotate, stock and merchandise goods.
• Direct operations in the absence of Store Director, Grocery Manager and Third Person.
• Open and close the store; may back up cashier; engage in suggestive selling.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, security and other policies.
• Handle customer relations and resolve complaints positively.
