Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the grocery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits for the grocery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies to maximize sales and minimize excess.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operation programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Stock products and assist guests to achieve standards.
• Maintain staffing and scheduling levels for the department.
• Control shrink through stock loss program implementation.
• Audit pricing and scanning accuracy; ensure items are signed.
• Keep backroom organized and maintained.
• Ensure advertised items are available and scanning correctly.
• Assist grocery inventory preparation.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Receiver on product levels and vendor conditions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
