Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager in leading one of the store's busiest teams. You will focus on healthy product selection, customer service, and day-to-day store operations to maximize productivity and profit.

You will supervise inventory, assist in hiring and training staff, and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines while delivering a fast-paced, customer-friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to walk up to 3 miles.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take and give direction within a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
• Proven leadership to motivate staff and understand margins, sales numbers and goals.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
• Physical ability to lift milk trays up to 60 lbs. and handle box movements as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
