Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products and make suggestions to customers.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of specials and dairy offerings.
• Provide customers with fresh products and ensure quality.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
