You will ensure product availability, maintain cleanliness, follow safety guidelines, and support the department manager in achieving sales and quality standards. Prior retail experience is helpful, and strong teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.

• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered.
• Recommend items to meet customers’ needs.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Report safety risks, theft, or fraud.
• Ability to work cooperatively in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to manage conflict calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
