Job summary

Kroger in Martinez, GA is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to bag groceries, assist customers, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe. You will help customers load bags into their cars, inform them about specials, and ensure food safety guidelines are followed.

The role requires a friendly, patient approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and keep store and parking lot clean.
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and inspect equipment for maintenance.
