The Kroger Family of Companies in Buford, GA is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding service at checkout and keep the store clean and organized. You will assist customers, bag groceries, check prices, stock shelves, and help with loading bags, while following safety guidelines and our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various bag types.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help load bags into customers' cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills, trash in store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Know store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Follow laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer/business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
