Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Use appropriate bags (reusable/plastic/paper) for bagging.
• Assist in removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets at checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash in store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
