Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service and a safe, clean environment. You will bag groceries, assist at checkout, stock shelves, and help customers find products while upholding our core values of respect, integrity, and safety.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out for customers.
• Strive for at least five items in the bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout to locate products.
• Conduct price checks for cashiers and reinforce safety procedures.
