Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagging Associate to provide an outstanding customer experience. You will bag groceries, assist with loading bags, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment across all areas.

The role requires attentiveness to safety, ability to follow directions, and willingness to help customers. Flexible scheduling supports both part-time and full-time opportunities within the Kroger family.

Qualifications

• Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim to bag at least five items without damaging contents.
• Bag items using reusable, plastic, or paper bags with care.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and organize product displays.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves when needed.
• Gather and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills and remove trash inside the store and in the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Know the store layout, locate products, and perform price checks for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products across the store.
