Kroger in Middletown, OH is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will bag groceries, assist customers with loading bags, perform shelf conditioning and help keep aisles organized.

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strives for at least five items in the bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follows best practices for bagging items in various bag types (reusable/plastic/paper).
• Assists in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offers to help customers load bags into their car.
• Performs basic shelf conditioning.
• Informs customers of grocery specials.
• Returns merchandise to store shelves.
• Gathers bascarts and returns them to designated areas.
• Cleans spills, picks up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Cleans all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handles and assembles seasonal merchandise.
• Understands store layout, locates products, and conducts price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforces safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
