Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer service and safe, clean store experiences at our Rancho Cucamonga location. Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting customers, maintaining shelves, and upholding food safety and safety procedures.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, support cashiers, and help customers with loading bags into their cars while following company guidelines and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to help shoppers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag and protect contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging with different bag types.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their car when needed.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Maintain store areas inside and outside and handle seasonal merchandise.
• Know store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Create welcoming environment by answering product questions.
• Follow local, state, federal laws and company guidelines.
• Cooperate in high-paced or stressful environments and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support for minors, customers with special needs, and older adults.
