Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger in California to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will help customers, bag groceries, and support store operations to ensure shoppers feel valued.

Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting customers, stocking shelves, keeping carts organized, and monitoring safety and cleanliness across the store and parking lot.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out and assist customers.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills, collect trash, and maintain store and parking lot cleanliness.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Follow food safety regulations and basic equipment maintenance.
