Job summary

Kroger in Henderson, KY is seeking a friendly Grocery Clerk/Cashier to help customers, process transactions at the checkout, and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will handle cash, checks, SNAP EBT, WIC, loyalty offers and coupons while delivering fast, accurate service.

You will rotate stock, check dates, answer questions, greet customers, and promote current specials. The role requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety procedures to prevent loss

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to complete cashier training program.
• Ability to memorize produce items and sale items.
• Excellent communication and reading skills.
• Must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently; handle tenders per policy.
• Rotate merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality.
• Greet, engage and assist customers; respond to questions about products.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions; stock and inventory merchandise.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Follow food safety regulations and monitor temperatures and sanitation.
