Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Conroe, TX is seeking a friendly Grocery Clerk to assist customers, stock displays, and maintain clean shelves in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish is required to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly to customers, clients and employees in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to follow and apply simple written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends, and perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
