Job summary

Fiesta Mart, part of the Chedraui USA family, is hiring a Grocery Clerk for Store 001 Houston Quitman. Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, you will greet customers, stock shelves, and keep displays neat while assisting shoppers in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, ability to lift items up to 60 pounds, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Read and write English/Spanish; interact with customers and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence as needed.
• Present information one‑on‑one or to small groups clearly.
• Follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift/push/pull items up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and provide friendly service.
• Clean display cases and shelves; maintain neat self‑serve areas.
• Rotate and stock products; keep displays updated.
• Work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.
• Perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping as required.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases and shelves, and clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. The employee must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends and perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
