Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Rosenberg, TX is seeking a Grocery Clerk to provide friendly, helpful service to customers and maintain clean, organized displays. You will interact in Spanish and English, stock shelves, rotate self-serve displays, and assist customers throughout shifts that include evenings and weekends.

The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 60 pounds and operate in a fast-paced grocery environment. Prior PC/Outlook skills and a retail mindset are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required for daily interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
