Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is hiring a Grocery Clerk to support store operations and assist customers. The role focuses on friendly service, helping customers locate items, and maintaining clean displays within a fast-paced grocery environment. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required. Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and writing Spanish and English.
• Able to read and understand product labels, pricing codes and shelf tags.
• Capable of writing simple memos or correspondence.
• Able to present information to customers and coworkers clearly.
• Able to follow detailed but simple instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill, and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
