Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Grocery Clerk - 002 Houston-Wayside to join our Store Operations Team. You will deliver friendly, helpful service to customers, assist with displays, and maintain clean shelves in a fast-paced environment.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, you will perform heavy lifting up to 60 pounds, work nights and weekends, and interact with teammates in both Spanish and English to ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and friendly checkout experiences.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service.
• This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves, and will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves, and will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
