Responsibilities include:

  • Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
  • Checking product quality for freshness and reviewing "sell by" dates.
  • Providing customers with ordered grocery products.
  • Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
  • Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
  • Staying current with ads and promotions.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
  • Gaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Following safety procedures, inspecting equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
  • Supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
