Grocery Clerk (Finance)

Job Responsibilities:

• Inform customers of specials and recommend products to ensure they get what they need.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.
• Provide customers with ordered products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming ads.
• Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures with logs.
• Know products sold within the department to assist and suggest to customers.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report them.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Report customer or employee accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts cooperatively and reasonably.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
