Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate actions.
- Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
- Reinforcing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
- Supporting a cooperative work environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
- Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
