Grocery Clerk (Finance)

Bring your cheerful, teamwork attitude to our shelves at Uncle Giuseppe's and become a Grocery Clerk today! We have an immediate opening for a Part-Time Grocery Clerk in our Morris Plains, NJ store. Come join our team!

Our Grocery Clerks are responsible for monitoring grocery items, providing appropriate labels and price tags, stacking goods on shelves, monitoring inventory, and maintaining shelf life in accordance with policies and laws.

Responsibilities

1. Properly stock retail shelves with products as directed by the Department Manager.
2. Safely and accurately restock product shelves.
3. Ensure products are front-facing and orderly, rotating stock as directed.
4. Interact positively with customers, providing excellent service.
5. Provide accurate information on the location of items.
6. Work as a team to ensure proper stock levels.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Working knowledge of a grocery store is a plus.
• Ability to safely lift boxes over 30 pounds.
• Physically able to reach, stand, climb ladders, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and ability to locate store products.

Working Conditions

• Moving about on hard surfaces, bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
