Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to ensure they get what they want and need.
- Checking product quality, reviewing 'sell by' dates, and taking appropriate action.
- Providing customers with ordered fresh and non-perishable grocery products.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
- Reporting product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the manager.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
- Gaining and maintaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment and responding to customer questions.
- Reinforcing safety programs and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
- Supporting a cooperative work environment, managing conflicts, and acting with integrity.
- Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
- Supporting interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
