Job Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of grocery shelves, storage, and work areas for safety; includes cleaning shelves, removing hazardous debris, and keeping floors free of spills.
• Stock grocery shelves, including presentation, facing, filling, and organization as per department schematics, ensuring tags and pricing are accurate.
• Inspect products for expiration, discarding outdated or spoiled items.
• Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, and product information, promoting cross-selling.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Monitor promotional signage and ensure availability of recipe cards, coupons, and informational materials.
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
• Use knowledge of weights and measures to accurately weigh and label products.
• Build displays, price, and mark merchandise as needed.
• Participate in inventory prep, ensuring tags match products and stock levels are maintained.
• Maintain high product knowledge and presentation standards.
• Regularly walk the department to ensure organization, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
