Job Responsibilities:
- Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
- Check product quality, ensure freshness, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
- Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
- Stay current with ads and promotions.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
- Develop product knowledge and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
- Create a welcoming environment, making customers feel valued.
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Perform preventive maintenance and report repair needs.
- Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
