Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate action.
- Providing customers with ordered fresh and non-perishable products.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures with logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist and make suggestions to customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment, making customers feel valued.
- Following safety procedures, inspecting equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions or repairs needed.
- Reporting accidents and supporting a safe environment.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
- Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
- Supporting diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
